Kamal Haasan donated Rs 16 crores to help HIV affected Children's

By refusing to endorse any brand for almost five decades, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan might have lost the huge easy money. but he is what he is. but now the legend has come out and acted in his first television commercial for popular textile brand Pothys much to the surprise of his peers and fans.

Lot of his fans were confused, when they first heard that Kamal Haasan is going to do a commercial. But now they are proud fans of the actor who  donated Rs 16 crores which he got from this commercial to help HIV affected children's. He donated this huge sum to 'Petral Dhaan Pillaiyaa' an NGO which helps HIV affected Children's.

This is not the first time that Kamal Haasan is donating money for this cause. He has done it the recent past also. He donated the money he won from a game show 'Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi' hosted by Praksha Raj in Vijay TV to the same NGO.

Kamal Haasan  has been a United Nations ambassador on HIV/AIDS and had actively campaigned for the Tamil Nadu AIDS Control Society.

Music director Ghibran who has worked on several films with star stated on his Facebook page, "Happy to compose music for Kamal Haasan Sir's first TV commercial for #Pothys . It was also fun working with my friend Krishna(Black Box Films) after a long time!"

Kamal Haasan has been helping lots of people through his 'Kamal Narpani Iyakkam' [Kamal Haasan Welfare Association']  over 30 years without seeking any publicity. His fans were involved in lot of welfare activities. recent Swatch Bharath Abhiyaan which the Ulaga Nayagan Fans are doing very effectively through out Tamil Nadu.
