Henri Langloise award for Kamal Haasan in Paris, France.
Awards and Honours are not new for Kamal Haasan. The legendry actor was honoured once again with another award. The Ulaganyagan has been awarded with the prestigious “Henri Langloise” award in Paris, France.
The Henri Langlois Award ceremony is typically organized by the French
National Commission for UNESCO, and the International Meeting of Cinema
Heritage at the UNESCO House in Paris every year.
Henri Langlois [1914 - 1977] was a French film archivist and cinephile. A
pioneer of film preservation, Langlois was an influential figure in the
history of cinema. In 1974, Langlois received an honorary Academy Award
for “his devotion to the art of film, his massive contributions in
preserving its past and his unswerving faith in its future.”
Sharing this news with his fans in twitter, Kamal Haasan tweeted “Received the Henri Langloise award in Paris . Wish Ananthu sir my guru had been alive to hear this. Heard of Langloise only through him”.
Congrats UHKH
