In this modern world where we are losing our identity because of the globalization, It is important that somehow we have to protect our culture and tradition. Festivals are the way of preserving our culture and tradition. But we have to eliminate some superstitious things from not only in celebrating Festivals but in general as well.
The one more thing that hurts me when comes to festivals is the money. money is inevitable in any celebrations. for festivals people want to have new clothes, new ornaments, great food, and want to go out to some good places, have some good time. for all these we need money.
when festival is approaches, different desires arise in mind of the family members especially children's. for people who do not have money festival is more a problem than pleasure.

What I wanted to say is that people should remove the illusions of celebrating festival grandly and they should stop comparing with others. they should try to enjoy festivals with whatever they have.
The most important thing in festival i noticed in cities is that people of different religion, language, state are getting together by forgetting all those things and happily mingle with people and enjoy and have good time. i think this is more important than anything else.
It also helps us to see and understand the culture and tradition of different people by being part of the celebrations of our Friends or neighbors of different religion or state or language.
Last week we celebrated Vara Maha Lakshmi festival. and now i want to wish happy Onam to everybody.
