From past few weeks, I'm watching only 'Harrison Ford' movies, after a long time. I just felt that, want to watch them again. so I started with 'Witness', then went on to see 'The Fugitive', 'Blade Runner', 'Air Force One', 'Patriot Games' and this Sunday, I watched 'Frantic'.
Why I choose to watch only Ford movies ? the answer is simple. they are not boring. at least for me.
I know lot of you guys, might have watched Fords blockbusters like Indiana Jones and Star Wars series.
In this blog, the attempt is to discuss, all the above movies that I have seen, but may be less popular Ford movies among the Indian film lovers. but lets start with Frantic.
Frantic is 1988 film, directed by Roman Polanski, starring Harrison Ford and Emmanuelle Seigner [Polanski's wife]
Dr. Richard Walker [Harrison Ford] a surgeon and his wife Sondra arrives at Paris city to attend a medical conference, where Dr. Richard is going to give lecture.
At their hotel, Sondra is unable to unlock her suitcase, and Walker finds out that she has picked up the wrong suitcase at the airport. While Walker is taking a shower, his wife disappears from their room.

Dr. Richard Walker tries to find her with the help of hotel staff, but then he goes outside in search of her wife, A drifter overhears him in a café and says he saw Walker's wife being forced into a car.Walker finds his wife's ID bracelet on the scene. He contacts the Paris police and the US embassy, but their responses are not promising.
Walker, back in hotel room, opens the wrong suitcase, that his wife had picked. he opens it and he finds a match with the label of blue parrot hotel and contact number of person called Dede.
what follows is the chain of events that finally leads to the reunion of Dr. Richard with his wife, who had been kidnapped by the Arabs because of the suitcase switching, which actually had a krytron, a small electronic switch used in the detonators of nuclear devices hidden in within a small replica of the Statue of Liberty.
Emmanuelle Seigner character as 'Michelle' is a important one. 'Michelle'is a smuggler, who was working for Dede. she had mistakenly picked up Sondra walker's suitcase at the airport.
one more important aspect of the movie is the music of 'Ennio Morricone' [Dollars Trilogy fame] which preserves the mood of the film.

It is not like other Ford movies with lot of heroism. it is much simple and a suspense movie with typical Polanski touch.
As usual Harrison Ford with his typical body language and countenance, steels the show.
I know lot of you guys might have watched Fords blockbusters like Indian Jones and Star wars series.
You might find loop holes in Frantic and it may not excite you as much as today's movie .
but still, Give it a shot.
