Former President
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam died on today at a hospital in Meghalaya.
Dr Abdul Kalam had
gone to deliver a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management in
Shillong where Dr Kalam reportedly collapsed on stage at the IIM around 6.30 pm and was rushed to the
Bethany hospital.
TV reports earlier said that Kalam suffered a massive cardiac arrest at the function at IIM Shillong.
He had been admitted to the ICU at the hospital.
"The
former president was brought almost dead to our hospital. He is in a
critical condition. We are trying to revive the patient," John Sailo
Ryntathiang, director of Bethany Hospital, told to the press.

Dr Abdul Kalam was a great inspiration for the youths and he will continue to inspire the generations to come.
