The 61st Annual celebrations of the Cinema Journalist Association [Film Journalists Guild] was happened at Sir Pitti Theagaraya Hal, Chennai. Few K-Town celebrities were also made their presence.

Haasan also released a souvenir to mark 60 years of the guild, and the
first copy was received by Sivakumar. Actor Manorama, who made a public
appearance after a long time, praised the contributions of the
journalists and performed a lengthy dialogue in Chennai Tamil which surprised the crowd.
Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan anounced that He will be donating 1 Lac for each of the 5 Journalisits who were honoured in this function and extra 1 Lac will be donted to the development of the Guild.
