Betting Labyrinth

The Indian Premier League is on, so does the betting.  The controversies of last years IPL, is still unclear. 

From school kids to older people, everybody watches the IPL matches with lot of eagerness and attention. not only because they want their city team to win, but also to make sure that they got their money, they bet for.

From small amount to crore's of money is being put in betting in IPL and other cricket matches. the people involved are common people irrespective of their jobs, students, educated, uneducated, business man, cinema stars, cricketers, administration, underworld the list goes on. 

There is a debate going on that there is a need to legalize betting. I am least bothered about that debate.

What really bothers me is that the common people, students are involved in this labyrinth and they are loosing their hard earn money on these bets. but people are making money out of it. how many? is the question. the ratio of loosing the money is more than that of winning.

As I have seen and heard, a lot of working class people, betting a large portion of their monthly income in these cricket matches and most of the time they are loosing it. it is all because of the urge to make easy and fast money.

most of them say that they bet because to escape from financial problems. but they are getting into more financial problems because of the betting. 

There are many young lads, who were in IT field, earning a decent income, still they involve in betting, not only in the IPL but any form of cricket match from Ranaji to Big Bash, they bet on everything. in the process they are loosing lot money. to add more trouble, they borrow money from others and put that money again in betting and looses it again. the only thing they are getting is the increase in the credit. but they refuse to quit. 

Betting is an addiction. once you choose that path, it is difficult to come out the labyrinth. 

So I request all the common people, especially working class [your family is depending on you], students, young generation not to get in to this easy money making illusion.

work hard, earn money, know your responsibilities. don't invite  unnecessary trouble. don't take someone who made money out of betting as an example or inspiration.

Watch IPL or any from of cricket. enjoy the match. have sport spirit. leave the betting to people who have the luxury to bet.

Please quit betting.
