Produced by N. Lingusamy Uttama Villain is directed by Ramesh Aravind, the film features Jayaram, Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, Urvashi, Nassar, K. Vishwanath and Kamal’s guru, the late K. Balachander in important roles. Andrea Jeremiah and Pooja Kumar shares the screen space with Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan for the third consecutive time after being part of Vishwaroopam 1 and Vishwaroopam 2.

screenplay and dialogues were written by the legend Kamal himself and the music is composed by Ghibran.

'Uttama Villain' is said to be the story of an aging 21st century superstar and an eighth century drama actor played by Kamal Haasan.
